While some of CHA Affiliate’s in-person events and activities have been canceled, we are offering some Camp HOPE America guidelines and the Association of Camp Nursing (ACN) guidelines that we’ve created in partnership with them and the CDC. As well, we’ve compiled resources for you to utilize in this time.
In the midst of the current circumstances, we would like to remind you that the Camp HOPE America community is here to support you.
Similar to many of you, we are closely monitoring the ongoing spread of COVID-19. We are following public health officials recommended guidelines for safety, care, and options around Coronavirus. It is our desire to share helpful resources, as well as to offer touch-points for our community to process what’s happening together.

With that said, we are living in a time of high uncertainty, and as adults who become more anxious about our future, including the impact on the economy, work, school, and family life, we know the children in our lives feel the tension too. Therefore, we want to encourage you all to remember the mission of Camp HOPE America: To provide pathways to hope and healing for children and youth who have been exposed to trauma. We are in a dynamic situation and things are quickly evolving. While we can’t predict the future, there is currently no reason to believe there are not pathways forward, regardless of which events will or will not take place.
Now is a time for patience, hope, and planning. Continue to watch for guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and your local health officials. As we plan for upcoming events and camp this summer, please look to utilize the guidelines and resources we’ve shared above!
